About Roti Bank

Roti Bank India is a non-profit organization dedicated to the relief of people, ensuring they can sleep at night after a proper meal. We believe that one day we will reach a stage where no one is deprived of basic food at least twice a day. Roti Bank is purely dedicated to serving the poor and needy.

Founded in 2012

Our Story

Our team has been working tirelessly towards our goal of "कोई भूखा न सोये" (No one sleeps hungry). We collect leftover and excess food from houses and functions to provide meals to starving people.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, millions of Indians faced hunger as daily wage earners and migrant laborers lost their work. Roti Bank stepped up to provide relief, joining other NGOs in alleviating the crisis across states like Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, and Himachal Pradesh.

Education for All

Roti Bank India has also planned to provide free education to poor and needy children in the near future so that they can become self-dependent and bright. Literacy rate in India is 74.04% (ranking 94th globally), yet the adult literacy rate at 61.3% is below the developing countries' average.
